Mistakes that cost a lot in sales
THIS MISTAKE COULD BE COSTING YOU A LOT OF SALES
Hi There,
The God factor is great for success. But have you ever imagined maybe an Anthony Joshua facing Andy Ruiz for their 2nd Rematch in Saudi Arabia and All he did was fasting and praying alone
More
Saying Lord I need a Victory , Lord I need my belts back , Lord If you gave me those belts back , I promise to serve you for life.
Don't you think that is risky preparation and dangerous. Facts is this, this is how many of sales people and realtors do towards sales and hope to be successful.
Back when I was really bad at sales, I would pace up and down before getting on a sales call.
I remember it took me about 4 weeks to make that first landed property sales as a realtor.
I would try to motivate myself by saying things like:
“Okay Laide , you’ve got this!”
“You’re the man.”
“You can do this.”
But when I got on the call, NOTHING went as planned...
Clients slammed their phones on me.
They said I will get back to you later and many I will get back to you later turned into blocking my contact , some bought from somewhere else ,from another person, some said I have already gotten a land now.
And I got rejected time and time again.
Sound familiar?
If you want to succeed in sales, know that it has very little to do with positive thinking.
You can’t go to the bank and deposit positive thinking and don't get it twisted nothing wrong with being a positive person.
What you want, is a positive outcome ( Results). You want to close the deal — to get that commission check.
If positive thinking doesn’t work in sales, then what do you need?
Positive thinking is great ...there is also power of negative preparation.
Let me explain.
Imagine yourself going into a boxing . You’re standing there and this big, tough guy jumps into the ring with you.
What do you think would happen to you if you went up against this guy with ZERO training and no preparation?
That’s right, you’d get beat up...
You can ask A.J Anthony Joshua what happened against Andy Ruiz in Madison Square Garden, when he was poorly prepared against Properly Prepared Opponent who knocked him out 4 times before becoming the new WBO, IBO, IBF and WBA World Heavy Weight Champion of the World.
In sales, it’s the same.
A lot of Sales People and Realtors are unprepared for this battle.
They don’t have a clue what to say, and they don’t know anything about the needs of their prospect.
To Succeed In Sales You Need A Game Plan
If you want to succeed in sales and close more deals, you need a game plan.
Nowadays, when you go in, you should be always well-prepared...you want to have a plan.
Which means you need a script.
“But I can hear you , won’t I sound like a robot?”
I’m not talking about those telemarketer scripts that you just say word-for-word no matter what the prospect replies. I’m talking about being prepared ahead of time.
Just like in the boxing illustration, you want to study your opponent ahead of the time.
You want to prepare for their moves.
If they’re a strong kicker, then you practice handling strong kicks.
If they’re a strong puncher, then you prepare for their hard punches.
This way, you won’t rely on hope or luck or just fasting and prayers only
You’ll know exactly what is going to happen and how you’re going to respond.
When you go in knowing exactly where you’re going to take the discussion, and how to handle all the possible objections, you’re going to close A LOT more sales.
Thanks for your attention.
